Marchwood Junior School is a special place to work. We have kind, polite and hardworking children who are keen to learn. Staff are positive, supportive and keen to continue to improve our provision. We have a well constructed and engaging curriculum designed to ensure children are supported and challenged to be the best they can be and to acquire powerful knowledge across a broad range of subjects. Children achieve well and we provide brilliant opportunities for our children both across the curriculum and also through a huge range of extra-curricular clubs. We were judged outstanding by Ofsted in November 2018 but we consider we still have plenty to improve on.
We are looking for someone who is seeking the challenge of leading a positive and strong school whose staff are committed to meeting the needs of all children. We want someone who will lead our team with integrity and passion and also empower our strong team. We need someone that has a strong track record of sustained school improvement, who can recognise our strengths and who is also innovative and evidence-informed to help us build on our success.
Being a Head Teacher of any school can be tough but here that challenge is outweighed by our lovely children, brilliant staff, supportive governors and exciting opportunities as you lead the Marchwood Family on the next step of its journey.
Governors encourage you to read the applicant pack, our school website and our Ofsted report but we strongly urge you to come and visit our school to really learn about us. Visits to the school can hopefully be arranged in the coming weeks, so please register your interest with Julie Jones at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get in touch when it is considered safe to do so. Please visit us if you are inspired to lead our Marchwood Family.
Please visit our website for further information about the school. Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and positively encouraged. Please contact Julie Jones (Administrative Manager) by telephone on 023 80863105 or by emailing email@example.com to arrange a tour.
For further details and an electronic application pack, please contact Education Personnel Services by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Marchwood Junior School and Hampshire County Council are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks
