SENCO: Emma Ford
Email: EFord@marchwoodjun.co.uk
At Marchwood, our aim is to ensure that all children, no matter what their background or need is, has access to a broad, balanced and exciting curriculum within a nurturing and caring environment. We have high expectations for all our children and believe that children should strive to achieve their best. Children with a special educational need are no exception! It is our responsibility to enable all children to reach their full potential by providing strategies, resources and specific interventions to develop their skills, particularly in developing independence in learning, and to foster confidence and self-esteem.
If you have any concerns about your child's learning or the progress they are making, then your child's teacher is the initial point of contact. They will be very aware of your child's learning, planning to meet their needs on a day-to-day basis, and will be able to listen and respond to your concerns.
If you feel that your concerns are not being fully understood, then please make an appointment to meet with Mrs Ford, the SENCo.
